Of Strawberry-Blondies part 2

As promised, the pictures of Lizzy and I from our January photo-shoot! :D Lizzy and I love modeling for our sisters. Lizzy's has quite the eye for photography spots and the trailer in the back-round added a fun rustic touch for two country gals with our chic sunglasses!

True friendship isn't about being inseparable,

it's being separated and nothing has changed.

Of course Allie and Laura had to
be visible in the fun! :D

 Hey, we're on a trailer...
 Why not count to three.....
 And....
 Leap into the air!
 Houston, we've landed!
Do we have great photographers or what?
We didn't even have to do a retake!
Thank you Allie and Laura for letting us join
in on the fun! And thank you Lizzy, one of
my ever, partners in fun, for being my
friend and model buddy!

One more picture from today.
I do my school work on the bed
sometime and I got up for a quick
break and came back to this...

"How dare you move when I was so comfy, curled up right next to you?"
Maisy, my feline companion, you make me laugh!

That's all for today folks!

Operation Gingerbread House 2012

As many of our friends and blog followers know, we Marshall gals have been caring on a tradition of making a Gingerbread house every December for many years. A tradition adapted by our adopted grandma, Grandma DeRoo.
Grandma and Grandpa DeRoo with their adopted granddaughters.

We  always try a new design every year, but we almost had to fall back onto a simple little house because time was running out! It was already the middle of December and we should of had a nice Gingerbread creation decorating a table in our house, but that was not the case.
Finally, we settled on Evvie's idea of  a windmill, and let her have the task of making the design. Allison and Evvie did the work of putting it together and then we all decorated a side or two. Even Sophia had a hand in the decorating process. We had to tell her that she was putting "stickers" on the house so she wouldn't just eat the candy! Yes, Sophia KNOWS what candy is!!! :D She did a great job nonetheless and the candy ended up on the house and not in her stomach. :)

Here was our finished project.
( I say was, since we've eaten it now..)

Then, the night of demolition came!
(which was long awaited by me ;))

Sophia has front row seating, and observes all the action!

Papa begins with a karate chop,

and the rest is history! And, in our belly's....

Sophia testing the house.

Operation Gingerbread House 2012
completed!
Over and out.

A Visit from Dear Friends and Sunday Fellowship

Hannah and Esther came to TX the middle of April to play in a wedding and a concert. We were thrilled to see our dear sisters in the Lord again! :D

Allison accompanied the girls to take pictures
of them playing, for there website.

We took the girls with us to church and afterwards
we met at one of the family's house for
a fellowship meal.

And we had lots of fun taking pictures!

My friend Hannah and I had decided to
match that same day.

We picked matching outfits with scarves
 and Anne and Diana hairstyles!

I'm working on self portrait photography and
Allie jumped in at the right moment!!! :D

Anne of Green Gables! Sort of! ;)

Camera Wars!!

Esther DeLadurantey......In Concert

My friend Esther gave a violin concert on October 29. She had been working very hard on some piece to preform and let me tell you, her hard work paid off beautifully!
Esther's dad giving a little speech before the program started.
Esther also had an painist accompany her on some of her pieces.

Hannah, Esther's older sister, accompanied her on the harp
on a few piece's.

The last piece on the program was Great is the Faithfulness,

Mr. DeLadurantey (on Clarinet), Jon (on violin), Hannah and Esther
all played on that one. They did such a lovely, beautiful job!

Allison was able to do a photo shoot with Esther for her
concert and the pictures turned out so nice!

Esther you did a phenomenal job on all of your pieces! Keep up the hard work and keep praising the Lord with the your stringed instrument! :D

After the Recital

What on earth are all these camera's aiming at?

After the recital was a time of fellowship and cookie refreshments. Then, after a lot of the people had left, a lot of the old and you kids went out to a little court yard attached to the church the recital was held in, to take group photos. :D We had a lot of fun! As you will very well see in the photo's below! :D

Okay, explanation time...  Most photographers have this great gift in
making there models laugh. I attribute this gift a bit myself
but the best part is, I can use it to make the
photographers laugh.... :D

Now.....
it was time for the ladies to get behind the cameras and
photograph the fathers and brothers. If you thought that
picture of me was wild, you haven't seen anything... ;)

Alright Phil, cram every one together now!

Okay, serious poses, now.

The lovely line of lady photogs! :D

Baby, Zek, adding a very nice touch to the last photo
of the hammy men.

Pictures of dad's. Uh, Mr. Bridges would you
mind just scrunching down a bit?

Thanks! That looks so much better! ;)
