They have a lovely home!
Through a mutual friend, we were encouraged to
stop, on our way through Missouri, to meet the
Berkemeyer family. They have 10 children,
and we really enjoyed getting to know them!
It was the perfect respite in our travels :)
They served us a delicious meal of potato soup
and 'Frito Chili Pie' along with some tasty bread
and desserts. The Berkemeyers are from east Texas,
so they were very helpful in introducing us to some
Texan ways. Frito Chili Pie is one of them, so
if any of you come visit, we'll have to make it for ya'll ;)
